Well, my baby boy is now 1 years old. He's grown so much over the last year.
When he was born he was 7 lbs 15 oz. 20 3/4 in. long.
Now he is 23 lbs 4 oz and 30 inches of fantastic fun! He's getting taller and thinner ( I miss my chunky little boy)
He can say dog, Cook, and dadda. Only when he wants to of course. He also says.. WEEE and uh oh. He loves to play with balloons and a blue spatula. We love him so much and are SOOO glad he is a part of our lives!

And of course, my pictures are all screwed up and out of order. But, enjoy!

Tim made me a German Chocolate cake for my birthday. It was delicious!

Gavin was a pumpkin for Halloween and we were the farmers. We had so much fun taking him around trick or treating, and eating all of his candy!

We painted pumpkins for Halloween and one of Gavin's cousins decided that he needed a little paint job himself.

10 months?

I will continally say this until the day I die... Time goes by too fast. Gavin is already 10 months and working on 11! He still has no teeth, but can effeciently get himself around. He's still a little ways away from walking, but that will come sooner that I want it too.

Our lives haven't changed much... Tim did get a new job with a company called WesTech that are out of Salt Lake. He now gets the "opportunity" to commute every day. He does take the frontrunner down so that he has some time he can read and such. The company he works for is awesome! We are very blessed to been given the opportunity to work there.

We're on the slow, painful search for a house. The houses that we can afford are short sales or foreclosures. And they my friend are not the funnest to try and get into.

My baby is already 8 months old? Where has the time gone? He's growing up so fast and learning so much all the time! He loves to watch Signing Time and get excited whenever the intro song comes on. I'm hoping that by 9 months he'll be able to sign a few things. Gavin loves to eat by himself whenever we'll let him. He does really well with crackers and such. And last night he finally crawled! It's an army crawl that looks like he got shot in the leg.. But, it's adorable to me. And Gavin and I hiked up Waterfall Canyon this past week. I had Gavin strapped to the front of me. An extra 21 lbs made is a little more difficult than usual. But, we made it! And had fun doing it. He's such a good, sweet boy. Well enough jibber jabber. Enjoy some pictures.

Wow... It's been WAY too long since my last post. Life has been quite busy the last few months. Been doing lots of fun things. Gavin is growing up so fast. He's rolling ALL over, laughs so cute, sits up by himself very well and is on the verge of crawling.He's a chunk already weighing over 20 lbs! I love being his Momma and everyday is a new adventure and joy. I've posted lots of pictures. ENJOY!

Man, I thought that since I had a baby and had a little more time at home that I could be better at this blogging business. Apparently not. Just a few things that we love about our sweet little baby:
He sleeps usually from 9:30-10:00pm to 6:00-7:00am.
He only cries if he's hungry, tired or something is wrong. He's the sweetest boy with the sweetest personality.
He is learning so fast. He is learning to grab onto things and loves to stick them in his mouth (of course)
He's learning to scoot himself while on his back across the floor.
He loves his Papa. He will giggle and smile at him all the time.
He has the sweetest sounding giggle. We love it!
I absolutely love being a Mom. It's the best job in the world!

This is my niece and nephew (Maddie and Tucker) holding their new baby sister only a few hours after she was born. Isabella Christiansen was born April 26, 2010 at 4:30pm. We're so excited that she's here!

So, after last Saturday I no longer am an Event Manager at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. It's been a long time coming and it feels pretty good. Now I can focus on being a mom and doing the best job in the world. I love being able to stay home with my boy and watch him grow. It's been a while since my last post, so there are quite a few pictures from the last month.
I can't believe my baby is now 3 months old!

I am still an amature at this blogging thing.. HOpefully one day I'll get better. With that the first couple of photos are pictures of Gavin at 3 weeks, Tim's sister did them and there are lots, these are a few of my favorites. The dialouge is down at the bottom.

It's definately the simple things in life that we appreciate and love. Our little boy turned 2 months yesterday! 2 months already! I can't believe it, time has flown by so fast. He's learning so much and doing more and more every day. He will now sleep through the night (which he's been doing since he was about 7 weeks old). He'll eat at about 9 or 9:30 then sleep from about 10pm to 6-7am. It's wonderful! My only problem is that I'm not use to sleeping that long and still wake up a lot during the night. He's smiling more and more everyday and it's so stinkin cute! Gavin also had his 2 months check up and his stats are:

Weight: 11 lbs 4 oz. - 42%

Height: 24 inches- 88%

Head Circumference: 40 cm.- 53%

Other news- I told my boss that I wouldn't be coming back to work, since Tim has found a full time position with Fastenal we can get insurance. Although it's not his favorite job, it will do until we can find something that he loves. I did tell my boss that I would come back to work for 2 weeks if he needed me to. So, I will be going back on March 8 for my last 2 weeks of work. I definately have been having a hard time with the thought, only because I love the people that I work with. I just don't think that I could handle working the hours that I worked and being a Mom, I'm stressing out about how I will be able to handle the 2 weeks I will be there.

Here are some newer pictures of Gavin. The second picture with his "I Love Mommy" shirt is the newest. I can't believe that he's already almost 6 weeks old. Time has sure flown by. He's getting so big. It's not official but, we put him on my mom's scale yesterday and he was 10.6lbs. Chunky little man! He's sleeping and eating (Obivously) really well. At night he will go between 5-6 hrs between eating. He's very sweet tempered and I couldn't have asked for a better baby. He is the sweetest little thing. And I absolutely love being a mom. I'm still having a hard time grasping the fact that this is our child and we're solely responsible for him. I keep asking myself when his parents are going to come pick him up. ;)

On Christmas Eve, we got to play Mary and Joseph and Gavin got to be baby Jesus. It was really sweet.

So it all started at 3:00am on Sunday December 13, 2009. I had gotten up to go to the bathroom, which at this point in my pregnancy I had to A LOT. As I was walking back to bed I thought to myself... "That's a strange feeling, there's water running down my leg. I know I just went to the bathroom and I'm sure I still have control over my blatter." So, I woke Tim up and said "Honey, I think my water just broke." So, I walked back into the bathroom and sure enough there was a big gush. My water had broke. I tried to stay at home long enough to get it under control. Apparently is doesn't stop coming. The strangest part of it all is that I heard that only about 30% of women have their water break before getting to the hospital. And since he was breach he was still sitting quite high. I wonder how it broke? Anyway.. We got in the car and thankfully we had Tim's mother's car which has 4-wheel drive. Cause the road to the hospital were covered in at least 4 inches of snow and it was still snowing like crazy. We got to the hospital about 4:00am and Gavin came into this world at 7:00am. I had to have a C-section since he was still breach. I was scared that since I would still be awake there would be a chance that I could feel the incision. They doped me up on an epidural, which hurt quite a bit to get in. Ouch. And out he came, I could feel the pressure of it all, but no pain. It was quite weird. Our beautiful baby boy came out 7lbs 15oz and 20 3/4in. long. He's so perfect and wonderful. Babies are truly a miracle. Enjoy a few pictures....

Baby update

Well it's been a month since I've posted anything. Life's been really crazy. We've officially sold our house, and are living with my parents. I'm now 36 weeks along and already dialated to a 3. My doctor tells me that I'm apparently having more contractions than I realize.. Reallly cause I didn't even know I was having any. Gavin is still breech, so our doctor wants to keep a really close eye on me. If he doesn't turn by next week then we'll plan a c-section. And I need to be keeping track of my contractions, if they get to bad we'll need to hurry into the hospital and do a c-section. Pretty nerve racking not knowing what's going to happen. I've been so busy with work that I haven't been able to get anything ready for Gavin. I spent a little time yesterday getting things in order and feel a little better about things. Anyway... that's the update in a nutshell. I shall try and keep this a little more updated. :)

What a week...

What an exciting week is was. We had another doctor's appointment on Thursday and Gavin is now 4 lbs 1 oz. He is still measuring large, of course. My blood pressure was still high, but she wasn't as worried about this time since everything looked normal.
Some more exciting news, our house is under contract. So, if all goes well we'll be closing on our house on November 27. Which means that we'll most likely be moving in with my parents on the 21st. The week of Thanksgiving is crazy busy and I have to work A LOT. I will say that I am excited that we're able to sell it, but I will miss this house. I love having our own place that we made ours. Painted, decorated and made our own. I will not miss however our mortgage payment or our neighbors. We have felt that moving was the best option for us so that we can be flexible in finding Tim a job. We didn't want to be stuck trying to hurry and sell our house if we end up having to move. My parents are being extremely gracious and opening their house to us. It will be nice having my mother so close when Gavin gets here so that I can ask all those questions I know that I will have. :) Thanks Mom and Dad!!
The Yankees won the World Series!! First time since Tim and I have been married. And it's quite exciting to be a fan and have your team win! I haven't been able to experience that yet and it feels good!
Now on the less happier note, I was at Smiths on Tuesday evening purchasing some items to make dinner. Actually I was picking up eggs so that I could make french toast that I've been craving a little. And apparently between the store and the car my wallet fell out of my purse. Tim got a call on Wednesday afternoon saying that there were two $300 charges pending on our credit card from Walmart. So, Tim called me and asked me if I had purchased anything from Walmart in that amount, of course I hadn't. Long story short, my wallet was stolen from the Smith parking lot and whoever has it decided to make some nice purchases. And after Thursday the total is at $915.00. We talked to our bank and are getting new credit cards, I think we've covered all our bases. I need to go and get a new driver's license which thankfully I have a passport so that won't be as difficult. 2 of the 3 charges that were on our account have been reversed. I hope that this won't effect us in the long run and that whatever they bought, they enjoy to the fullest.

Well we went to our Dr.'s appointment today. Here's the update.
He weighs 3.5lbs and his head is measuring @ 32weeks (I'm currently only 29.5 weeks along).
My blood pressure was a little high, so my doctor wants me to monitor it and another appointment in 2 weeks. Needless to say, we have a large child comin'. And we're sooo excited!!!!

Here are a few pictures of our house. We're still in the process of working on Gavin's room. I hope that we can get it done soon. The room's disaster right now. But, our house is officially on the market now. It's been quite stressful to this point, Tim and I have put countless hours working on it the last few weeks and we're still not done. Our realitor told us that if we added a 3rd bedroom our house would sell faster. So, on to the next project (next to getting the baby's room done). Sigh- Life is wonderful. :)

Labor Day Weekend

So, over Labor Day weekend we went up to my Aunts cabin in Island Park. They were very kind to let us stay there. It was sad to go up there and see my Grandma and Grandpa's cabin torn down. :*( We went up Thursday night after work and stayed until Monday. It was a great to spend time with the family. We went to Old Faithful and spent a dy in Yellowstone. I have pictures, though I haven't figured out how to post pictures and text very well. So, here's some pictures of the trip.

Except for a few packages of diapers, Tim and I haven't really bought anything for our little baby. Last night we decided to buy one large item so we wouldn't be overwhelmed in the upcoming months. We also purchased another essential item to any Cook baby wardrobe. See below. :) After buying this, it's starting to feel a little more real to me. I'm still waiting for that moment that I know for sure that I felt the baby kick. That will be a good moment.

So, I've been hesitant to put up pictures of me pregnant. Mostly because I haven't felt like I look pregnant. But, I'm braving it out. And have included some in this post. I am now 18.5 weeks along and have another appointment on August 11. Gonna drink lots of juice that morning in hopes to make that baby wiggle in hopes tht we can confirm our suspicions that it's a boy. I will most definately let everyone know.

We went to the doctor last Thursday in hopes to find out what we were having. But, our baby is a little shy and doesn't want us to know yet. Our doctor has suspicions it's a boy. But, said at this point it could still be a girl. So, we shouldn't buy anything. We have another appointment on August 11 and maybe we'll be able to find out then. At this point I don't really want to hold my breath, baby's have a mind of their own.

Also, something else is exciting... We bought tickets to see Paul McCartney in Texas. We kinda have a 2 for 1 going on. My brother Lance lives in Texas close to the Cowboy's stadium where Paul will be playing. So, we'll be able to go and visit him (which I wanted to do this summer) and Tim (well we both are) is super excited to see Paul McCartney. He's been wishing there was a way and we've found one! The concert is on August 19 so, we'll fly out on August 18 and stay until the 22. We're so excited.

Eww.. Sick

So life hasn't really been that exciting lately. Tim and I have been sick on and off for a while. Me naturally because I'm pregnant. But, he started with a cold and has been toughing out a cough for a couple weeks now. We went to the doctor today and found out that Tim has pneumonia. Awesome. He's always had bad lungs. When he was born, he was 6 weeks premature and didn't have fully developed lungs. They had to do a lot to keep him alive. So because of that he has had the opportunity (yeah right) of having pneumonia I believe he said this is the 11th time! Got some medicine and gonna get him better!
The pregnancy is coming along, we have a doctor's on July 9th and we're in hopes that our doctor will be able to tell us what we're having! YAY! I will most definately keep the status updated.

Well.. It has been a little while since I've posted anything. And I can't think of any greater news to start this post with. Tim and I are expecting our first little one! My due date is January 2, 2010. It's been a long time coming and we're SO excited for this new adventure life has for us.

It's been a rough pregnancy so far. I can't complain compare to some though. It's just that you think about being pregnant and what a wonderful experience it will be, and you don't really take into consideration the first trimester. It's been amazing though to go to doctor's appointments and watch the baby grow, see it move and know that you're growing an acutal life inside of you.

We found out on April 23, just before we left for Hawaii. It was a joyous morning when we found. It was the first time I've cried because I was so happy. Below is an ultrasound of our 11 week appointment! Tim was so cute when he saw the little arms move. It's so fun!

Ok... So I haven't posted a blog in almost a month. Not a lot has changed. I just got done working 32 hours in 2 days. The LONGEST WEEKEND EVER! Just makes me truly grateful for my nice warm, soft bed. Since it was the longest weekend ever, I"ll make this the shortest blog ever. ;) Nighty Night. Everyone sleep tight tonight.

Good news... Today Tim had an interview for an internship with General Growth Properties (they manage the New Gate Mall). And he got it! Woohoo! He'll be interning from May to August. I was really worried about finding an internship. He won't get paid for it, but it will be great experience!

So today it decided to snow. The information I had on the weather said it was only going to snow 3 to 5 inches. No... No... No... It snowed over a foot! All day long. My boss even let us leave early today. That almost never happens. Woohoo! And I hate to do laundry, but coming home early made it so I had lots of time to do laundry. So, needless to say I did laundry. And it was snowing so much today so.. I couldn't go grocery shopping. We don't have very much food in the house, but I some how came up with enough ingrediants to Eggs Benedict. Mmmmm it was delicious.

Can I return my neighbors for new ones?

So last night about 2:30am our next doors neighbors had people leaving their house. In the act of this they decided to turn their music up in their cars as loud as possible. No regard for the other 30 people that live around us. I got so angry! But, this is not the first time that this has happened. Any suggestions?

Do you ever have one of those days you come to the realization of life? Today Tim and I were talking about when he graduates what we're going to do and where we think we might be. It came to me that we haven't even started living our lives. We're just in the beginning stages of our lives. Some day we'll have children and most likely move to another state. It was quite the realization for me. Guess I thought we'd stay in the same situation forever. Crazy Crazy life we live.

Wow.. I am quite LAME!! It's February 1st and I can count on one hand how many posts I've done. Suppose I don't feel like much is going on with us.... On the contrary we are usually quite busy people. Tim is taking 16 credits this semester while working 30 hours a week. He's amazing! This is his last full semester before he graduates. He has an internship and one more class he needs to take in the summer. So, I'm crossing my fingers that he'll pass all of his classes. The last 2 semesters he's passed 18 credits with nothing lower than a B!! Like I said before he's amazing!

Me on the other hand. I continue to work. This year hasn't been as busy as last year. It's actually kind of scary how few events we have this first quater of this year. Hope I can keep my job. :) As strange as that sounds coming from me. (Those who know my work frustrations)

Tim and I are planning a trip to Wendover this weekend to see Frank Caliendo. He's quite excited. He came to Ogden during the summer, but due to prior obligations we couldn't go. ( I made us go to the cabin instead- Hey- they're gonna tear it down. :'( ) Anyway, should be fun.

We also just celebrated our 3rd Anniversary! It's crazy to think that I've been married that long! At times it feels like we've been married forever! And at other times it feels like we just got married (especially on days when I find a new habit or interesting tid bit about Tim).

Tim and I have known eachother for quite sometime. We met when I was a wee child, only in kindergarten and he was in the 2nd grade. He was/is good friends with my beloved brother Chubby (aka Justin). It wasn't until years later when he came home from his mission (Tampa, Florida) that we started dating. Our first date was on February 11, 2005. We went out with a few of his friends to Maple Gardens and then moved our way to the Valentines dance at the Institute building. It was a lot of fun, but at the time Tim wasn't the type that I normally dated. But for some reason I couldn't get him out of my life. After 6 months of "dating" (and by dating I mean I dumped him about 6 times). It was weird for me to grasp the idea of Tim Cook and me together. He was one of my brother's friends. Alas in Sept. 2005, Tim proposed to me and we were married January 14, 2006 in the Bountiful Temple. We've been married almost 3 years!
We bought a townhouse in May 2007 and have been spending time fixing it up. We've repainted pretty much the entire place, redid 1 bathroom and we're working on the 2nd one. We've got all new flooring throughout the entire place. It's a lot of fun to have our own place that we can change and make our own. I'll post pictures eventually. :)

Not that we have a lot of exciting things that happen but, it is truly amazing that people can go to a website that has all the information about us.
